Our Story
Julia was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. She has been riding and working with horses from an early age. Her love and passion for horses is seen in her continued educational achievements. She earned her Associate in Applied in Equine Technology from Martin Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from North Carolina State University, and a Master of Arts in Education from Post University. Julia continues to seek out educational opportunities through online classes and clinics.

Blessed to have worked for multiple trainers across disciplines to include cutting and Thoroughbred racing, Julia brings a plethora of experience to Vermeere Pawsitive Equine. Julia has also competed in multiple areas to include barrel racing, combined training and horse trials, hunter under saddle, and ranch riding.

Julia is married to Matt. Together they have three dogs and two horses. It is their hope and dream to provide their horses and dogs with the best care AND extend this care to others through Vermeere Pawsitive Equine.
